About Us
Welcome to The Dukes Seafood.
We are a local, family run, licensed fish and shellfish shop, with an onsite fishmonger, serving both hot and cold seafood dishes, based right on the edge of Mersea's beautiful estuary waters.
Boasting our own private waterside seating area, we serve the freshest of seafood, with delights ranging from popular seafood platters to local Mersea oysters and freshly cooked seafood dishes to hand picked dressed crabs, and more!
LOCAL FISH
As well as supplying a huge range of fish and shellfish, we are lucky to be in the position to buy the catch of many of our local fishermen, enabling us to source and supply the freshest of local fish, to complement our wet fish counter each week. We will happily fillet and prepare your fish to your requirements, as well as give expert knowledge on the best choices of the season.
Our kitchen team have the best and freshest seafood of the season to work with!
FISHONGERS VAN, MARKETS & EVENTS
We have a fabulous fishmonger's van, which visits surrounding farmers markets & events. Take a look at our markets page to see if we are visiting near you! You can also hire the van for your own events, or catch us at food & drink shows all around the area!
FRIDAY NIGHT TAKEAWAY
If you are nearby n a Friday evening, why not take advantage of our Friday Night Takeaway offerings! Every Friday evening we dish up freshly cooked hot meals, which can be delivered for free to Mersea addresses, oor you can collect from us here on Coast Road. Pop over to the page to see the menu!
Situated on Coast Road, with table views overlooking the estuary, our location is rivalled by few. With local wines and beers among the alcohol available to purchase, freshly brewed coffees, hot and cold drinks, sweet treats and ice creams, there is something for all.
